CPC464 Â Â 10 #44 Posted December 27, 2013 Hardly anyone sells CDs and DVDs nowadays, even supermarkets. Â Except every supermarket DOES sell CDs and DVDs - Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys all do. Â Why are you claiming they don't?
 Share this content via...

LeMaquis   10 #47 Posted December 28, 2013 CEX on High Street has some 2nd hand CDs. Some of the charity shops have a good range of music. Oxfam on Glossop Road opposite Swim Inn do as well as BHF at the end of Pinstone Street. Well I say good compared to other charity shops. The St Luke shops have some stuff and have a 3 for 2 offer where you can mix CDs, DVDs and vinyl. Ecclesall Road near Tesco has 6 or 7 charity shops where you can get some good music cheap. Dannyno   19 #48 Posted December 28, 2013 I can think of 6 record shops in Sheffield: LP - Arundel Street Music Junkee - Cambridge Street Vinyl Demand - Charter Square Record Collector - Broomhill Tonearm - Walkley Nichols Building - Shalesmoor  None really "like HMV". But to this list you can add Rare and Racy on Division Street.  Apart from HMV and generalists like supermarkets and WH Smiths, the only places selling records/CDs these days are small specialists like the above.  ---------- Post added 28-12-2013 at 08:37 ----------  I know its sad Im sure there used to be quite a few round town.  There did. HMV apart, been and gone include Virgin/Zavvi, Our Price, Andy's Records, Fopp/Music Zone among others. It's been a bloodbath, and that's just the chains.
