Tomm06 Â Â 12 #2 Posted October 5, 2012 I've always enjoyed but loved all the Brosnan ones mostly, and as you can tell, he's my favourite Bond... I do really like Craig though, he's funny.
 Share this content via...
Beakerzoid   10 #3 Posted October 5, 2012 I currently working through the whole series on bluray, and it has confirmed to me that Connery was just perfect as Bond. Goldfinger and Thunderball rank as my favorite films.  Lazenby was a decent Bond, in a strong film, but didn't have time to grow the role at all. The film (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) does, however, contain the only hint that the Bond name and 007 licence are given to different agents (he quips "This never happened to the other fellow!" at one point)  Moore started good (Live & Let Die) and ended up representing the worst of Bond (Octopussy, Moonraker, and View to a Kill). I say 'worst' - I really mean 'some of the worst'  I liked the Dalton phase. An attempt to get back to basics, and stop the silly winks at camera. Didn't quite work, but was a good effort.  Brosnan started well (Goldeneye), but rapidly diminished over the other films, with Die Another Day being the genuinely worst point in Bond history in my opinion!  I'm loving Daniel Craig as Bond - I think he is second best to Connery. QoS was a mis-step, and showed that direct sequels don't work for this franchise. Skyfall looks like it is going to be a strong entry, with a solid director (Sam Mendes), and return of gadgets to the franchise. Could this be Craig's 'Goldfinger'? Here's hoping. FANAdeLdF Â Â 10 #9 Posted October 5, 2012 You forgot Casiono Royale with Barry Nelson in 1954. Not to mention the Bob Holness Moonraker radio broadcast in 1956. Â In which case you need to also mention Casino Royale (1967) and Never Say Never Again (1983). Unofficial and quite simply not to be taken seriously. Â Beakerzoid : as for the Roger Moore phase, the rot started with The Man with the Golden Gun. One of the most disjointed Bond films ever. Christopher Lee is wasted in it.
