Proffesor Mel Jones Myers Grove Comp 1961'ish followed closley behind John Milner

I'll second that, along with Carol Jones, they were my favourite two teachers at Carter Lodge.

For me there is only one candidate.

 

Step forward Mrs Cooper who taught my class M4C at Nethergreen Middle School between 1980-1981.

 

She made school more enjoyable than I had ever known, before and after. She also pushed me to get into the top class at King Edward VII (from where I slunk back to 'middle of the road', but hey ho).

 

Even the class idiots seemed to take an interest in their school work under Mrs Cooper.

Definately Jean Cavan from Annes Grove primary 1993 she was fab. before i was in her class i was scared to death of her and cryed and refused to go to school again when i found out she was my new teacher. Didn't take long for me to change my mind though she was lovely and i don't think i have ever learnt as much as i did that year. I think it was her last year though and she retired after teaching us

For me it would be Faith Milton at Acres Hill in the early 70s

She would take kids youth hosteling at weekends and holidays. I have her to thank for my love of country walking even now.

 

Also John Rawson at Waltheof (when teachers were in charge-not kids) He was understanding and easy to talk to which made learning maths a bit easier.
