Strange guy, strange story, greenhill + germany

Got stuck with a bloke other day who was telling me his life story about his days working in germany, Norway etc

In his elaborate story he told a tale of how he was in a car crash due to the white line in the middle of a Germany road being too thick!

 

Later he told of people going round the white heart pub on Greenhill looking for him

 

Sounds very vague but it was quite a strange conversation and hope someone on here can shed some light on it please
