Old record shops

Was there a shop called Impulse at the top of Cambridge St that used to sell punk/metal clothes in the front and records in the back or am I imagining it?

If I recall correctly it was done out like a cave or something like that and seemed to be quite long,I can also remember a clothes shop on Fargate possibly Chelsea Girl that used to have a record shop downstairs:huh:

There was Ken who sold records in the old rag and tag market as well.

Also K & D in the Hole in the road, Roulette on high st and on the Moor.

A shop on Attercliffe Road called Cox Radiovision back in the 60's

The one on Chapel Walk was 'Cann the music man' i think, and there was a Violet May's on Dixon lane that I remember well.

Saturday afternoons were spent on Chapel Walk, this was the place to be in the mid sixties.

There was a small record shop in the laste 60's /early 70's at the town end of Division Street close to Fantham's Hairdressers. The name escapes me.

I remember one in the '70's.Was it Jacks? There was also Fopp but I think that was later.
