Jonny and Jacks was a supermarket under the Nisa brand. It is just a few yards away from the John o Gaunt pub. I always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. While it didn't have a massive selection, it was more competitively priced than the Co-op which is very important when there is literally no other choice around here. We have a car, so can shop wherever we like, but our area has a high proportion of disabled and elderly people who are forced to pay through the nose. And now, the only other supermarket has gone

I used to help both my elderly neighbours, sadly they are no longer with us, and the new neighbours are young and fit.
