David Cameron's war on disabled people welcome to the Fourth Reich.

Recommended Posts

According to this investigation at least 32 people a week are foung dead shortly after failing test for incapacity. As the report makes clear, of course there are going to be some cases where people have died as a consequence of something completely unrelated to their claim.

But cases like the ex miner who had been told to stop working by his doctors after suffering a series of strokes and a heart attack, died after being told by Atos that he was fit for work are commonplace. And according to the CAB there are clear links between the causes of deaths and the condition they were suffering from that led to the claim.

There would be an outcry if it was a madman with a gun killing 32 people a week, but because it's Government policy and it's the disabled and it might save us a few quid: Who gives a ****.

The government will do all it can to vastly increase the number of deaths to save money and make the rich richer.

You haven't said so literally, but you've certainly implied that you don't think claims need to be verified.

You may delude yourself into thinking that is what I implied if you like, as it suits your agenda.

It's horrible how some of the public punish those in reciept of benefits, yet are quite happy for taxpayers money to be lavished on these corporate welfare junkies is obscene

That on average 32 people a week die shortly after being told (many times erroneously) that they are no longer entitled to recieve state support is an outrage; that so few people seem to care is shocking.

Well it would seem our great Prime Minster has got it in for disabled people. He wants disabled people to work, fair enough but yet closes the very places they most likley get a job at (Remploy) under the Welfare Reform Act of 2012 the right of appeal under clause 99 will be removed from April 2013 for ESA appeals but no doubt spread to other benefits. DLA is now history and replaced by PIP which will be unleashed in April 2013 that will see many disabled getting no help. No doubt the anti disabled will laugh and mock but beware todays ablebodied could become tomorrows disabled people before my accident I was a Soldier it can happen to anyone.

Remploy may be a bit past its sell by date; it segregates disabled people from the rest of society in the world of work.

Not all of Remploy does. They have supported employment places with mainstream employers, that's for the disabled people who are able to manage in the workplace with minimal support.

However there will always be those who need seperate 'sheltered' workspaces such as Remploy factories. Many of these have now been shut down as we are told that disabled people don't want them (nothing to do with sheltered employment factories needing subsidies of course, besides ATOS need such subsidy money from the government to kill off disabled people).

I belive Remploy can lead the way for employment for the disabled worker. For many Remploy workers its more than a job it becomes more like family which understand each other and support is there to if needed. This is unlikely to be find in the mainstream workplace. Some of my own family worked there after been wounded and left disabled in World War Two and after been P.O.Ws. The Remploy factorys that have closed already have shown that the former work force struggle to find new employment and live in poverty and become alone after loseing contact with there friends who they have known for years

So let's say someone who has been working for so many years, then is involved in some accident which gives them a long term disability, finds the need to quit work due disability..puts their claim in for benefits etc etc makes contact with Remploy because they want help in getting re-trained / back into the work arena.

But with the welfare reform..basically the government have forced Remploy to close it's businesses and so that disabled person has the help from Remploy taken away from them; resulting in the person finding it very difficult to get back into the work arena they end up having to remain on disability benefits until such a time.

What are they meant to do ?

Paying benefits monthly also housing and council tax benefit to be paid into the claimers bank account for them to pass their council tax onto the council and pay the landlord their rent !

What happens to people who have great difficulty in budgeting and managing money properly (it's easy to say they should learn)

All in all this Universal Credit / Welfare Reform is load of tosh

I don't see UC staying anyway, let's be honest ESA was brought out cause that would be a better system, it's not hence it being done away with.
