SpeedwayDan   10 #15 Posted September 18, 2012 It's not bad if it's your first attempt.  I agree on losing the scrolling text, it's not needed.  Get more content on there as already suggested, especially on your home page.  Well done on using Notepad++ though, you will learn alot more doing it all yourself rather than using things like Serif Webplus. walkertelecoms   16 #17 Posted September 21, 2012 As said above, the text. You could think about importing some FLASH instead of the text, and have various images rolling through that (assuming you can do that with Notepad++ you can do this with Dreamweaver, easy to learn, I did and I'm a dinosaur )
 Share this content via...
a wasp   10 #18 Posted September 22, 2012 Whoops!  It needs a lot of work. The photos are mostly terrible -- badly lit and out of focus. The wall of phone accessories pic on the home page made me laugh out loud -- the center of attention is an office chair and a spray bottle of cleaning fluid. The busted iPhone photo has a blob of brown (a wooden surface??) at the bottom right because it wasn't cut out properly. You could have solved that by simply placing the phone on matt white card stock and lighting it correctly.  That pic with the selection of Blackberry phones looks suspiciously like it came from the manufacturers site. Probably heavily copyrighted too.  You have up to five wildly different typefaces in some pages. Settle for a single clean san-serif and use no more than three different weights throughout. Whatever you do, please get rid of the Comic Sans typeface. It's a site for a business, not an invitation to a child's birthday party. TheBlueDragon   10 #19 Posted September 22, 2012 I don't know if its just my laptop but below the scroller I can see a single think vertical red line directly in the middle. Also as said the main page could do with some text. Also I'm not keen on the counter as I believe is shows how little traffic the site is getting. Finally because of the size of the images is makes some of the pages wider than others and the about us and contact us pages have a different font to the rest (I may just be been picky lol)  Other than that it has nice simple navigation and clear text. Marx   10 #20 Posted September 22, 2012 I think 'a wasp' sums it up well. I hadn't noticed the spray bottle before. Ask yourself, "Does this site instill conficence in people to buy from me?"
 Share this content via...
MailBottle   11 #21 Posted September 22, 2012 Hi  currently you have a web presence not a website.  If you have a shop on the high street it's - location, location, location.  A website that will work for you needs - content, content content!  Google - who have over 85% of the browser market will only rank you above others if you give the market you are after what they want to read and see in unique content.  All the others who have posted here have been helpful on the visual side so I have had a look at you page source.  Your pages needs unique content - 300 words minimum with pictures.  Your Title - Should have your keyword(s) in it long tailed or short.  You need to reinforce it in your meta description - up to 90 words.  your meta keywords should be no more than 4 or 5.  Make sure your keyword(s) are in your body copy first in your H1 title and then in the first sentence of content and then repeat them every 100 + words. I tend to put one in my 1st sentence repeat it in the middle and on at the end in the text line back to the home page on a 300 to 350 word page.  Your images should have a filled in title=" " in the html  Make sure your other pages have a text link with the keyword(s) in it back to your home/index page.  Think in terms of 30 pages minimum not five!  Sorry to have gone on a bit but I do want you to make it work for you.  Hope I have helped.
