BigDonWizzle   10 #50 Posted September 18, 2012 i recently have started fishing again and the first thing i did was buy a licence... only 27 pound for the year how can you complain at that???? i dont think fish should be taken out of the canal but something about taking a trout out of the rivers really appeals to my im not sure why but would love to try as it is apart of my (our) british culture... i have been on the canal alot in the last few weeks and seen alot of ppl fishing without a licence this is out of order for the rest of us... i would consider being a voluntary balif and maybe most of us should consider this.. help protect our own
 Share this content via...
Kerrangaroo   10 #51 Posted September 18, 2012 I have zero interest in fishing (or so i've been told) other than the appeal of sitting in a boat smack in the middle of a large lake on a warm day just watching the world around me but I am in full agreement with licensing. I don't see it has anything to do with anything other than to ensure that fish are only fished at certain times of the year thus enabling the 'sport' to continue through replenishment. Allowing anyone to fish as and when they wanted would quickly deplete stocks.
 Share this content via...
