Delayed   461 #1 Posted September 8, 2012 Hi,  I'm looking for a descent vantage points of the City Centre.  I've taken a cityscape from the Parkview Flats just behind the train station. I'm trying to find similar points in and around Sheffield and perhaps Rotherham.  Does anyone have any recommendations?
 Share this content via...

TLP-Uk   10 #8 Posted October 27, 2012 I found this thread through Google after searching for Sheffield viewing points although I knew of the forum already.  Over the last 2 months Ive been back in Sheffield more than usual and exploring all the different vantage points, some I knew already and some I didnt until I read of them on here.  Ive been doing Panoramic Photo's since the beginning of this year and got a few thousand photo's that need converting into Panoramics taking photo's all around Sheffield.  Some of the best Vantage points are in no particular order are.  Parkwood Springs (4 Spots) Skye Edge (Great View, one of the best) (2 Spots) Manor Park and Manor Park Road. Morrisons Halfway. Rother Valley Park. Wadsley Common. Grenoside Park(Main St). Stephen Lane,Grenoside(Layby and Field with O/S GPS Marker block near Radio Aerials). Skew Lane,Grenoside. Midhurst Road(Mound and Footpath going up the hill),Foxhill. Eastbank Road(near Eastern Drive) Park Grange Road(various spots). Andover St. Pye Bank Road. Bernard St. Arbourthorne Park(off Eastern Ave). Birley Lane/Fox Lane Fields. Birley Moor Road on top of Double Decker Bus. Lydgate Lane Park. Hagg Hill(Foot Path on left going down from top end of houses.Follow Path and stand next to fench when path starts to go down). Crookes Park. Ringinglow Road(Norfolk Arms Pub Car Park). Also higher up the road stood on a Stool for Public Foot path(Right Hand side walking up the hill.)  Special mention to Underbank Reservoir at the end of Stocksbridge for great scenery and walk on a Sunny Sunday morning.  If I think of any more then I'll add them.Sheffield's 7 hills sure helps for some great views.    Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...
