PeteMorris   10 #13 Posted September 6, 2012 Reading the OP link I thought this quote was amazing:  Each only has 68 kilobytes of computer memory. To put that in perspective, the smallest iPod — an 8-gigabyte iPod Nano — is 100,000 times more powerful. Each also has an eight-track tape recorder. Today's spacecraft use digital memory.  It used to be amazing what they could actually do with such miniscule memory.....Ah, I remember the good ol' 48k Spectrum and the Commodore
 Share this content via...
Lexikia   10 #14 Posted September 6, 2012 Having watched a programme a few weeks ago about Rolls Royce in Derby, it still proves we build the best.  A joy to watch. The chinese aquired one of their trent engines to copy but as explained they don't have the trained staff or knowledge to do this.  Not much makes me proud to be British but this programme did.
