Best place to sell my car..

Recommended Posts

I have a car on finance, it has less than 16 months due (2700 pounds) left to pay, we are wanting to sell as we no longer need the car, does anyone know a good place where we can sell the car...finance is paid off first of course and we take whats left over? is this even possible?

Its a 2008 vauxhall vectra sri CDTI.

We buy any car quoted us 4000 pounds for it but i dont know if the finance will have to be cleared before selling to them?

Any help or advice gratefully received.

They will pay the finance before giving you the left over

A dealer or private sale?

As above, WBAC no doubt do this all the time.

You get a quote from the finance company for settling the finance and where to pay it.

Get a quote from WBAC.

Ring them telling them what you want to do.

Take the car in (haggle over the price because if it has any scratches they will try to get money off even if you've declared them) and then they will pay the finance company direct and pay you the remaining.

Even if you sell it privately your buyer can do the same.

Privately/Ebay/Classified they are selling for £5k+ depending on mileage so its either go the easy route for £4k or put in a bit of work for possibly £1-1.5K more.
