Water for bottles

Recommended Posts

I am going away to a caravan for weekend and I am wondering whether it would be worth taking bottled water to boil for my baby's bottles (like one of those huge ones from the supermarket)

What would you do? He will be 12 weeks by then.

Hi I would ask your health visitor for some information but I was told to only use tap water as bottled water has different minerals etc in. Has your caravan not got running water? if not surely the site will have water available for filling up your bottles. If its boiled then that is fine. The other option is to take pre made formula( more pricey though) I just bought the really large cartons and put it in the fridge when it was opened.

Dont use bottled water- the sodim content is extremely high. For under 1's it 1gram salt/0.4gram sodium equivalent. Bottled water has about 36grams sodium. Take tap water with you to boil if there is no on site facilaties for you to get water xx
