Nigerian businessman invited to become a director at United?

Recommended Posts

And he's off to a great start, selling Stephen Quinn to Hull

Must be to pay for the enormous laundry they are going to need for all that money #cough#

Have to say, every Blade i have spoken too, is taking this story very light hearted and with hell of a lot of doubt.

No ones gloating or rubbing it up the noses of any Owl.

Unlike yesteryear and the £70m,£50m,£40M,£20M,£8M, £1 rumours down the road.

Different gravy.

Mardy and bitter springs to mind with your boring posts....

Predictable, non informative, ill informed, obsessed with all things Blades related comes to mind on your worth less posts !

You have the option of the ignore button :) i prefer just to look down and snigger...ITS ONLY A FORUM !

Yet you come on to a United Thread, insulting a Blade and contributing ? very little. Why so serious? DID I HIT A NERVE :)

The Owls kop could be named.."the bit part former Eastender actors stand"

Or "the Cantana"

Sorry LB but the kop @ Hillsbro' is going to be closed for 6 months due to a major design fault, IT FACES THE PITCH

On a more serious note, why is it that whenever there is news related to United, some Wendy's come on here debunking it, yet if it's @ S6 we have to take as gospel & they proclaim it as the way forward.

Tend to agree, When Strafford opened his mouth, the Owls believed ever word! £70m downwards, Unitedites area bit more grounded, our attitude when issued with these claims is show us the money ! lol.

It seems as per this thread the Owls are more concerned about the news than us Blades !lol

OBSESSED :)

McCabe is inviting him to become a director I imagine this will involve selling him shares. He's an investment banker?

Scarborough Holdings owns 85% of SU plc.

I would be a bit skeptical as he has only been invited, put yourself in his shoes, would you invest although it wouldn't be his money.

Another report from that ever-so-reliable (Leeds based) Yorkshire Post:

From what I heard on RS no shares would change hands, big money will be paid to specialists in banking, legal experts etc to get the deal through, and if any money is raised Utd may get some crumbs, of course if lots of money is made the crumbs could be substantial
