Mecky   10 #25 Posted September 1, 2012 So why did you not see the commercial benefits mentioned in the article? Or do you not realise that drones are lighter, smaller, cheaper, more fuel efficient to do the roles that light aircraft and helicopters traditionally do?  There's a drone in the sky it's just boost the commercial economy by 5000%
 Share this content via...

saunaman   10 #27 Posted September 20, 2012 Those unmanned drones are probably flying from RAF Waddington to shower bombs upon those "terrorists" in Pakistan and Afghanistan , plus all the innocent people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time . Remotely controlled by staff in Lincolnshire , sipping their lattes whilst controlling the bombing from a VERY safe distance . Google Helen John , an ex-midwife with 5 kids who , at the grand old age of 44 , was one of the first Greenham Common protestors 30 years ago . This woman , who obviously appreciates the value of life , is still protesting at the age of 73 , in a tent at Waddington with her 17 year old dog Charlie ( ITV news 25/7). HELEN JOHN , I SALUTE YOU
 Share this content via...

Last time I checked Pakistan was further away than that.
 Share this content via...
vResistance   10 #29 Posted September 21, 2012 Unmanned aircraft (Drones) may become a regular feature over the UK see the following link http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19397816  I woudn't be suprised if they were made small enough to chase joy-riders and car-jackers, or peek through your bedroom window!  They might use them to take out terror suspects, like in Pakistan. Just hope there's no terror suspects living near by. It'll save a fortune compared with using the justice system and extradition process, and It'll be great fun for the kids to try and shoot them down with fireworks  There are pros and cons.
