keeley234   10 #13 Posted September 17, 2015 The Barrel Inn is now being run by Lee & Donna (previously of The Golden Lion).  The pub has been cleaned up and is serving great tasting drinks with sky sports installed on 2 large screen TV's and free Wifi.  We will now be selling Carling at £2.50 a pint in addition to our great everday prices on match days when Sheffield United are playing at Bramall Lane.  Many of the same bar staff such as Angie, Keeley, Lee and Karen are now also working at The barrel so you can see some of the same friendly () faces.  Why not give us a try?  Everyday Prices £2.50 Stones & John Smiths £2.80 Strongbow £2.90 Stella £2.80 Carling (£2.50 for home games)  See you soon UTB
 Share this content via...
Bilge   34 #14 Posted September 19, 2015 It sounds like it's no better than when I last went in which was about 10 years ago. So that's why I won't be 'giving you a try'. Carling/Stella/Creamflow/Strongbow taste exactly the same on draught as they do in a can except they are two or three times the price. Unless you are really desperate for a drink at last orders or there is no nearby alternative I really don't understand why you would go to a pub to drink that stuff. Can anyone enlighten me? retrogo   10 #15 Posted September 20, 2015 I appreciate that there is nothing wrong at all with a decent pint of stones,  However if i came in to your pub and saw that lined up on the bar i would simply walk out.  Its all mass market stuff. I am not saying you should get real ale but maybe something a little bit more attractive?  I can never find a real ale that tastes nice. They all give me that queezy feeling in the stomach. Then they make me feel very unwell on leaving. I need not explain further.  So there's nothing wrong with good old John Smiths
 Share this content via...

keeley234 Â Â 10 #17 Posted July 10, 2017 (2 years on, I Know) Is it still open and if so who runs it now? Â Hey, We're still open 7 days a week and it's still run by us. Match days are still our highlight and we seem to be getting more popular. We are hoping to make further improvements to the pub in the near future If you have any questions please message us Thanks Lee and Donna (previously of The Golden Lion)
 Share this content via...
