Strix   11 #2 Posted August 24, 2012 why has nobody contacted Beagle Welfare?  Jeez - the last thing anybody should be doing is giving beagles away for free - they are challenging little animals to share a home with
 Share this content via...
spats   10 #3 Posted August 24, 2012 Errr....Are you sure they were not 'liberated'? I have a friend of a friend who often had multiples of beagles to rehome. They usually were from scientific establishments and lets just say..their passports weren't exactly valid!
 Share this content via...
Zebra   10 #4 Posted August 24, 2012 I didn't even know there was one but now I know I'll post back on the status
 Share this content via...
Zebra   10 #5 Posted August 24, 2012 I've no idea Spats, just too much of a soft touch to imagine animals being put down so I figured this was the place.
 Share this content via...

spats   10 #7 Posted August 24, 2012 Yes..sometimes they were from hunting packs also. Just thought I'd mention it in case they may have been microchipped or something already.
 Share this content via...

Strix   11 #9 Posted August 24, 2012 it may be best to remove the contact info from the OP Zebra - just in case they are stolen
 Share this content via...
Zebra   10 #10 Posted August 24, 2012 Well, I rang Deano, who tells me they are 3 months olds, socialised and toilet trained and have come to the end of their lab useful 'life'. His shop have offered help after a lady called Carole told him about it. Given the details he gave me and a few minutes internet sleuthing, there is a testing facility close to his shop and which does do that sort of testing so it seems legit. I'm inclined to leave the number up for now as I think, by route, that this is likely to be genuine. However, apparently this particular facility does this with some regularity, so maybe the Beagle place need to know about it for future reference.
