Dead Sparrowhawk

Recommended Posts

Just found a dead Sparrowhawk on the garden. Does anyone know if we have to report this to the RSPB due to them being a protected species. Thanks J

Wow a Sparrowhawk Hawk must have got it.

They're nasty buggers so so silent and beautiful.

Can I ask what area this was found in?

Seen one around here in S13 on and off since last year.

We are in s 13 near Richmond Park. So it could be the one you've seen. It is such a shame. I thought it was a wood pigeon at first. Then a kestrel but my O H took 1 look and knew it was a sparrowhawk. I can't say I've seen any flying around here so it unfortunately could be he same one. J

Thanks.

It could well be the same one then.

They're great birds to watch so it will be a shame if it's the same one and we don't get to see it again.
