Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me the biggest ever defeat the Owls have suffered in the League or FA Cup?

Which site is the best for history results/players?

Thanks ...... Rayd.

The biggest losing margin they've had was

0-10 v Aston Villa, Division 1, 5 October 1912

Don't know if it's the most they've let in though.

Those pastings we had a few years back... 6 or 7 at home to Leeds and another 6 or 7 away to Arsenal were definitely the most embarassing though.

The biggest home and away defeats of the sason

Thanks fnkysknky and Mr Abdul ...... I seem to remember the Owls losing to Fulham 3-9 away, when Jimmy Hill played for Fulham ......... or is my memory playing tricks.

Was at Wembley to see Owls 2-0 up, then lose 2-3 to Everton. ...

Sad day.

I had an uncle [Palethorpe] who played for the Owls or Blades back in the thirties.

Can't find a website that gives Owls statistics.

Newcastle beat them 8-0 about four or five years ago.

Didn't Forest beat them 7-1 a couple of times in the Premier?

That's the thing about Wednesday, they get these hammerings every so often, but they've also had the DiCanio's and the Waddles and European Cup Matches.

I can't remember united ever getting pasted like that, but then again we've been stuck in a rut as a mid-table first division side for ten years.

That's right. It was 1999 and Shearer scored 5 goals.

That's a very useful site. I notice some bits are yet to be completed. Does the site get updated often?
