EdnaKrabappe   14 #13 Posted January 7, 2006 I quite often go alone. Would prefer to go with someone but it's actually alright once you are inside. Obviously better if you go during non peak hours. Plius you can see what you want to see.
 Share this content via...
spinac   10 #14 Posted January 7, 2006 I think the only time I went to the cinema on my own was before I met my partner. I went to see JFK ... serious subject, 3 hours long, so wasn't expecting to see many couples and thought I wouldn't be out of place on my tod. I did feel a bit uncomfortable as the cinema was packed with groups of friends and couples, but nobody watches you as much as you think they do - if at all. And the film was so engrossing, once it had started everybody was glued to it. I don't think anyone moved in 3 hours even to go to the loo! I'd always prefer to go along with someone else though, even if they disagree about whether the film was any good, you've got something to talk about ... spinac   10 #16 Posted January 7, 2006 ... errrrr pass ....  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Jeremy  Despite his unglamorous appearance, he has featured in over 2,000 films to date (I haven't seen one! no honest!) and has directed a further 100. He claims he gets more work when he is a bit on the heavy side, and this is the reason why he does not try to lose weight. He also claims to have had sex with over 4,000 women. He has said that he finds every woman beautiful, and this is what makes him a very versatile porn actor.
 Share this content via...
BrainThrust   10 #17 Posted January 7, 2006 All your talk about Ron Jeremy makes me very worried about what is on the website on your signature, especially when it's called 'spur into action'  Wilf
 Share this content via...

youwhatref   10 #19 Posted January 8, 2006 I always used to go on my own when i was single, got the YGC card and was there 4 times a week. Like some of the others i went during the day and like Rich often had the entire cinema to myself.  These days i tend to go with a mate or the missus is she fancies a film (although rarely), although tomorrwo i'm back off on my own to watch King Kong
 Share this content via...
Blootiger   10 #20 Posted January 8, 2006 It would be interesting to get together to watch one flick, you may be surprised at how much you'd enjoy other people's company before & after....
 Share this content via...
SilentStatic   10 #21 Posted January 8, 2006 I wouldn't go to see a film by myself, unless it's the uni cinema. Aside from not wanting to be out by myself, I'd have thought it's much better going with other people so you can discuss it after? *still hasn't seen King Kong*
 Share this content via...
Guest Pauly   #22 Posted January 8, 2006 Never been to the cinema alone but I would if I had nobody to go with and I really wanted to see the film. I think in the past it's more that I'm used to going with someone and it hadn't occurred to me to just go by myself.
 Share this content via...
