Who ever goes to the cinema on their own?

Recommended Posts

I quite often go alone. Would prefer to go with someone but it's actually alright once you are inside. Obviously better if you go during non peak hours. Plius you can see what you want to see.

I think the only time I went to the cinema on my own was before I met my partner. I went to see JFK ... serious subject, 3 hours long, so wasn't expecting to see many couples and thought I wouldn't be out of place on my tod. I did feel a bit uncomfortable as the cinema was packed with groups of friends and couples, but nobody watches you as much as you think they do - if at all. And the film was so engrossing, once it had started everybody was glued to it. I don't think anyone moved in 3 hours even to go to the loo! I'd always prefer to go along with someone else though, even if they disagree about whether the film was any good, you've got something to talk about ...

... errrrr pass ....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Jeremy

Despite his unglamorous appearance, he has featured in over 2,000 films to date (I haven't seen one! no honest!) and has directed a further 100. He claims he gets more work when he is a bit on the heavy side, and this is the reason why he does not try to lose weight. He also claims to have had sex with over 4,000 women. He has said that he finds every woman beautiful, and this is what makes him a very versatile porn actor.

All your talk about Ron Jeremy makes me very worried about what is on the website on your signature, especially when it's called 'spur into action'

I always used to go on my own when i was single, got the YGC card and was there 4 times a week. Like some of the others i went during the day and like Rich often had the entire cinema to myself.

These days i tend to go with a mate or the missus is she fancies a film (although rarely), although tomorrwo i'm back off on my own to watch King Kong

It would be interesting to get together to watch one flick, you may be surprised at how much you'd enjoy other people's company before & after....

I wouldn't go to see a film by myself, unless it's the uni cinema.

Aside from not wanting to be out by myself, I'd have thought it's much better going with other people so you can discuss it after?

*still hasn't seen King Kong*

Never been to the cinema alone but I would if I had nobody to go with and I really wanted to see the film. I think in the past it's more that I'm used to going with someone and it hadn't occurred to me to just go by myself. :)

I used to go to the cinema alone all the time when I was single. I just enjoy the movies, and dont worry about what people think.

Nowadays I go with my GF as she is good to watch films with :)

Hubby always goes alone. Which babysitter is gonna trek all the way to Hoyland just to let me eat popcorn? :(
