Bridal hire shops

It was my daughters wedding on 20th July. We hired the men's suits from Mirage in Kiveton Sheffield. The suits should have been delivered on Friday 13th. They called us on Friday 13th to tell us that the courier had forgotten to put then on the van and that they would be here on Tuesday 17th July. Of course I wasn't accepting that and insisted that they organise an other courier for the Saturday 14th July. Which they did after the manager did a lot of complaining and stating that we still have plenty of time to organise replacements for any suits that didn't fit. We received the suits on Saturday 14th. 3 of the suits didn't fit and one of the suits was completely different to the other suits. (no tails). Also having ordered 7 suits they only had 2 pairs of shoes. The manager stated that no one else had ordered shoes. I know that to be false as i spoke to the lads who went for the fitting and they confirmed that they had ordered shoes and gave her the sizes. I tried calling the shop on Saturday afternoon to give the details of the suit changes and lack of shoes, I could not get through. I emailed the details in hope that they would get them in time for their next courier delivery on Tuesday 17th. I got a phone call on Tuesday morning from Mirage stating that they had received the email and that the suits would be on the van on Tuesday. They didn't offer an apology for not answering the phone on Saturday only stating that they were busy with another bridal party. We went to collect the suits on Tuesday. The manager of the shop lead us to we're the suit bag was hanging and pulled the zip down about 5 inches and stated every thing is here and then proceeded to zip it back up again at which point I said can we please get all the suits out to make sure every thing is there and that there all the correct sizes. The best man tried his 2nd suit on and it was still miles too big for him. This size suit was ordered by the manager of Mirage who said she can tell what size suit a man needs just by looking at him. (I don't think so). We ordered another size suit and was told that if we wanted the replacement suit on the wednesday that we wuld have to pay for the courier service. ( i dont think so. None of this was our fault it was all down to there error). I was finally assured that it would be delivered between 10 am and 12pm on Friday 20th July( the day of the wedding) and that we would have to pick it up from the shop (great customer service...NOT) The best man went to pick the suit up at 12 o'clock on Friday 20th July and was told it hasn't arrived yet. We finally got the correct size suit at 1.15 . The wedding was at 2 o'clock. Yet again no apology. Every time Mirage got something wrong they made out it was someone else's fault. It was the courier or we didn't order something or the best man has lost weight. Their website home page states making your day a day of dreams. It was almost a night mare. I would not recommend this shop to any bride to be. They made the week running up to our wedding day more stessful than it needed to be. We had organised put week up to the minute and this was all thrown out the window because of Mirage VERY BAD customer service.

Oh dear that sounds awful and not what you want the week of your wedding! We decided to hire our suits from formal affair in Chesterfield. The ladies in there where very lovely and helpful and took measurements so fingers X'd it'll all be alright :) Just goes to show how important it is to pick up suits in advance :)
