Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Foxhill.

On Sunday, 6 May, at approximately 5.20am, a 17-year-old male was walking home along Langsett Road, Hillsborough, after attending a party at a friend’s house.

While walking, he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette and to use his mobile phone.

The 17-year-old advised he did not have any cigarettes or a mobile phone.

The man then started to walk alongside him until they reached Wolfe Road Park, Foxhill. At this time, the man is believed to have assaulted the 17-year-old by punching him in the face and then taking his mobile phone.

The 17-year-old sustained a broken cheekbone and swelling and bruising to both eyes.

The man is described as white, in his mid 20s and approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He has short dark hair and was wearing a black jacket with a yellow zip and cuffs, black trousers and black Nike trainers.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 313 of 6/5/2012.

Recognised him straight away. There's him and another bloke just like him. They've been ripping people off for years now and started in the 80s but nothings ever been done about them. Real criminals and they get away with it.

Name's Pet Shops. That one's Neil. Criminal - they call that music.
