Euroboy77
Can anybody tell me the best place to take a copper hot water tank. It is an average domestic size, and my neighbour reckons it could be worth about £70. Thanks in anticipation for any advice.

scousemouse
................my daughter got rid of one after a new one was fitted and got £63, so to be 'offered' £29, is way off the mark!

Take all the brass fittings/nuts off it and you will get the clean copper rate, I take mine to EMR on stevenson road and got £80 for the last one with a bit of copper pipe. Rimrunner
to be perfectly fair to jaythedon he offered a price and you either take it or leave it but dont forget he will come to your house so £49 (even £29) is not bad for doing nowt.
