mike84
As long as your tenancy allows you to keep a dog you shouldn't have much trouble initially. Generally houses and ground floor flats with a door to the street and not a communal corridor are ok. There would have to be evidence, noise logs by neighbours / complainant just the same as other anti-social behaviour.

medusa
If you have loads of other neighbours who say that your puppy is not an issue then can I suggest asking them to write a letter expressing that and give it to you so you can counter the claims when they come round for a visit? Failing that, ask your neighbours if you can give the person who visits their name and phone number so that they can be used as references when you are visited. Either way round, if your close neighbours don't hear your dog barking and are prepared to state that to the person investigating the claims then you really don't have anything to worry about, as long as you aren't breaking your lease by having a dog in the first place. Meter Man
Believe me do as i do record youre dog with a web cam & save ,then when they read out the date & time your dog is said to have barked ,you have evidence to back you up . good luck
SpeedDemon
The letter will just tell you they've received a complaint. The person who complained will be asked to keep a diary and if the council then think its necessary, they will install noise nuisance equipment in the neighbours house to monitor the situation. The letter says its normal for a dog to bark when someone visits or at the window cleaner etc. it only becomes a problem when it is prolonged. Maybe u have the same neighbours as me

SpeedDemon
If the equipment is installed, that will prove when he barks
