Steptoad
My daughters lap top, less than a year old, seems to have gone down the pan since she last did a "Windows" update. Suddenly the battery won't hold a charge, The Norton internet security has expired 6 months early, All system restore dates have been wiped except the one that corresponds to the update, All folders such as document, music and picture libraries return the message "...no longer working" I'm wondering has she down loaded a virus masquerading as a Windows update. Or has Windows update done something nasty to her laptop? Any clues or advice anybody?
