saunaman
Slug traps seem to be working well , with £1 for 1.76 litres cheap tescos 2% lager . Does anyone know if I can brew my own "slug trap lager" even cheaper myself (got the brewing equipment) ?

I get mine free from the local pub just take a bottle in and ask them to fill it with slops from the drip trays.

ellabbs
Please, if anyone does, then please DO NOT USE SLUG PELLETS . hedgehogs eat the slugs and ultimatly die..... please do not use. broken egg shells around your favorite plant will protect it.... love our hedgehogs... their numbers are in dramatic decline. Thorpist
Never found egg shells to be of any use myself. Any beer with a little sugar in does the trick for me
Bonjon
You could make your own nematode mixture. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/gardeningequipment/8675592/The-war-on-slugs-starts-at-home.html
