mattaboy
I found a VERY undernourished cat this morning as i was going to my car on the way to work. It was clearly desperate for food/water We've given it some food & water which it has wolfed down and it's currently at the local vets being checked over and to see if its chipped The poor thing was just a bag of bones It's black and has a couple of white legs/paws. it was found in Eckington S21 cheers
Kingster
I don't suppose she looked like this? She's older now but her markings are shown. http://www.animalsearchuk.co.uk/find-lost-pets/find-pets.php?asukRefNo=ALP56510&search=1&gettopost=1 Daisy's been missing for 6 wks http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1002950
mattaboy
No i'm afraid not She's pretty much all black except for white socks Another cat has now turned up in the garden and looks pretty ratty aswell but this one isn't very friendly and runs away if you approach. I wonder if they are a pair, as it now seems to be hanging round looking for something which seems to be a weird coincidence. The cat is at Chesterfield RSPCA at the moment being looked after
Kingster
I know this is also very unlikely but both our cats gave gone missing. Don't suppose the other one is tabby with white legs, belly, chest and chin? See other thread. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1020718
mattaboy
the other one is long haried and a mixture of white and other colours but i'm afraid i don't think she looks like either of those in your link i'm afraid. This other one has a long bushy tail
CeeCee
Well done you for taking this cat to the vets so it can get treatment
Kingster
Thanks anyway Mattaboy. And yes completely agree with CeeCee. Well done for taking to the vet and not just taking it under your wing. Our cats kept losing their collar so despite being chipped I do wonder whether someone's assumed they're homeless without checking and taken them as their own. mattaboy
Hope yours turn up, The vet has said today its not chipped and they reckon it's about 18years old and has a thyroid problem so they're going to look after it for a week and then let us know. Hoping the poor old thing makes a recovery, but we wouldn't be able to look after it as our 2 cats were not impressed by him and I'd be fearful they'd attack him
spats
Poor old Puss So many pets are no longer wanted when they start to get on in years. Sadly, this is a familiar story. It's so awful for the old ones when they have had a home for all those years & then get rejected just at the age when they need love & care the most. If a home cant be found for him...try The Sheffield Cats Shelter. They have a fostering programme for old cats with ongoing health issues. They may be able to help. Do you know what happened to the other cat?
