janie48
Is it just me or are the staff at the cafe in asda at handsworth, rude, ignorant and lacking in any customer skills. At least you have a cafe in the Asda you go to,we havn't got one in the Asda at Chapeltown i shop at.I was that stressed today among that crowd of shoppers in the stampede i had to have a swig of a drink in my trolley before i had even paid for it. Yes i know it was unladylike, but i needed to quench my thirst, and felt much better after doing that, after all it is nearly Xmas.

The one at Parson Cross (unfortunately) does. The staff are slow, unhelpful and lacking in customer skills, but thats the good bit. I had a "large breakfast" there, and everything (except the beans) was undercooked, even the toast was like stale bread because it was put through the rotary toaster too quickly. I didn't complain at the time, what was the point? I just won't do it again. Having said that, Morrisons at Ecclesfield are not much better, although their staff are helpful and curtious, their food is somewhat lacking in freshness (especially their dinners, kept too long in a bain-marie & dried up as a consequence) but I quess that would be ok if we were paying "bargain" prices for the food... but we arn't. So a word to the wise... If you want food how you like it.... cook it yourself ;-)
mart
Over the years I have tried food in the cafe of 3 of the Morrisons stores-Catcliffe, Parkgate and Barnsley. (My sister got food poisoning at the Parkgate one). The food at the other two is of poor quality also. I always complain if something is below standard. Needless to say, I never have food at Morison’s cafes now. There never seems to be many customers in their cafes, no wonder. I think people are beginning to realise. The staff are doing the same thing day in day out and still get it wrong. When the cafes close through lack of customers they will be the first to complain about their jobs. I’ve never had a problem with any of the staff (just the food) except the time I was being honest and said, “I’ve put 2 tea bags in the tea pot ,as I like it strong. The woman said, “I’ll have to charge you for 2 pots of tea”. I think it was about 80/90p per pot. I walk away.
gina2007
I've never had a problem with any staff at handsworth, past few weeks they've been really good actually. My gran chucked her coffee across the table, which they cleaned up and replaced. She then did the same with her second coffee, again they cleaned and replaced it. I had asked for a cloth as I was brought up to respect my gran but to also clean your own mess... Then more recently on Friday night lady at customer services spent 20min searching the store and calling other stores for an innotab2, she finally sourced one at parkgate living which we rushed off to get, without properly thanking her. Planned to call the store last night but never got round to it, but I will be calling at some point today But when I go to Chaucer, they do their best to be jobs worth, ie refusing baby formula at 130am, because of the use of healthy start vouchers - use your common sense, at that hour, being the ONLY purchase, it's needed ASAP. I had to drive to handsworth for my relative, to be served without an issue! WHAT!? I complained heavily via their website when I got home, told them that their Chaucer staff are rude and wanted to argue with me (she tried her best!) and I got an automated reply but nothing since... Absolute joke.
