The Cafe in Asda, Handsworth

Recommended Posts

I decided to try a breakfast at Asda handsworth this morning, BIG mistake.

Worst service I have ever had.

Shocking food [English Breakfast]

Stood with my tray like Oliver Twist for ten minutes until anyone of the three women behind the counter decided to serve anyone, then she just slapped it all on the plate and lobbed an egg on the top.

Anyway without going on in a nutshell 0 out 10.

On the few occasions we have eaten there we found it pretty poor. The main gripe we had was getting your hot food and then standing there like a melon waiting for someone to take our money. Needless to say we just sat down, ate the food then paid. On another occasion I asked for a manager as we were so unhappy with the quality and temperature of the food. We were reimbursed immediately, and the manager was very polite and efficient. We tend to avoid the place now though. If you want cheap food at cheap prices that's fine. Not our bag though.

Did you speak to customer services and tell then this was your experience ?, I have always found the service okay to be honest but then I usually only have coffee.

My wife wanted to say something but to be honest we had been on the road since 6am [it was 10-30] and all I wanted to do was get home.

The food was barely warm and service and presentation was shocking I just got up and walked out and my wife followed, I would have got better value out of my £10 if I had set fire to it.

Anyway we live and learn but as I already said total rubbish 0/10.

I had a breakfast at Asda in parson cross last week and when she gave me tinned tomatoes I said I did not want them because I like fried tomatoes and the menu says fried tomatoes and she told me that they have never done fried tomatoes so I asked her why it is on the menu if they do not serve it to which she replied that tinned and fresh are almost the same thing and tinned taste just as good as fresh. She was I think mentally challenged.
