OneSpeed
Hi all, does anybody have any ideas on who could, or how to, fix a leak in a cold water pipe in a motorhome? (It is the cold water ingress pipe for shower..) Could a plumber possibly do this or does it have to be a specialist? The pipe isn't the most accessible thing in the world.. not sure how to proceed. all advice welcome please.... thanks x

Balpin
To save yourself money, just standback, look at the job, and decide about how to tackle it. Most of these jobs are really easy, when you take the time to think about them. You wont need a plumber in a caravan, it will be summat and nowt of a job. Its like saying you need a plumber because your tent is leaking.
bungleboy69
I had a similar problem with the inlet on my bathroom sink tap in my motorhome. At first it seemed impossible to fix but as the post above suggested, step back and have a think about it. Most connections in the vans are snap lock type and worst case you will need to replace a connector, perhaps a washer. They are tricky to get to, but take your time and you should be able to sort yourself. Towsure stock all the bits you are likely to need.

Take a few panels out, and look for it, once you have located it, you can get a plumber if you want. It will then only be an hours extortion you have to pay. ANGELFIRE1
If the pipe is in a place that renders it inaccessible, they are usually left unfastened to the frame or whatever they run through. So get a length of new pipe, unfasten the old pipe at both ends - shove a join in one end and fasten, shove the new pipe on the other end of the join and fasten - then pull out the old pipe which will pull the new pipe through for you. Worked on my caravan without a hitch. Angel.
