estweyn
Anyone interested in showing support to save a small community group in Sheffield that is under threat due to the legal actions being taken please join the facebook group SAVE LOWEDGES FESTIVAL this is a cause close to my heart as I was brought up on the Lowedges and have seen it become more and more run down over the years, it was a lovely place to grow up in the 50s and 60s, near to open countryside and the crime level almost non existant (apart from local drunks in the Magpie and Grennel Mower) I cannot comment on the actions being taken by the deputy lord mayor of Sheffield but hope you will make your own minds up by reading posts on the group or going to the Star and doing a search. Disgusting. The Council have been chucking free stuff at Lowedges for a long time, yet the place is still rife with drugs and crime.
