Happ Hazzard
The current lefty attitude to racism is akin to McCarthyism in the US in the 1950s. It's ridiculous and people need to tell these people where to go.

johncocker
Now that John Terry has been found not guilty, perhaps the FA will do the honourable thing and bring in a law that stops bitter people like Anton Ferdinand trying to destroy the careers of others with their obviously spurious complaints. Glamrocker
More actually; but they will be wrong. He is innocent of the charge. Hes been found not guilty by a court a very big difference to being innocent
PAKS4
I think it's quite clear that the words 'fxckxng black cxnt' were used on the pitch. See link. The FA should ban terry to send out a clear message that this type of language will not be tolerated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FmHdVzHk6M&feature=youtube_gdata_player
johncocker
No he didn't the judge agreed that he was parroting what Ferdinand said, so the comments were not aimed at anyone, so couldn't be racial abuse. I agree I don't think it is racial abuse There's too much bandying around of the insult - Racist. if I see a black man (for example) and based on my prejudices about black people I then assume that this individual is lazy/criminal//violent - then this is racism, But if I know about an individual black person, and from my experience he is lazy and criminal, I don't see it as racism to say that. I might do it in a rude or impolite way, but it wouldn't be racism. But many people on sf r seem to believe it would. That's why I can't see what John Terry is doing on a racist charge. I don't like the man particularly, but he was talking to an individual black man and opined that he was a "black c***". In my book that's just a poorly expressed opinion of an individual. He called him black - well he is black! I can't see it as slighting a whole race. Is his colleague above any criticism because of his skin colour? Now that really does sound like racism. The only problem with that idea is that it wasn't Ferdinand who made the complaint. It was an off-duty police officer who saw it on telly.
walkertelecoms
Amazing what a £200 per minute wage packet gets yah. Weather you're the next MENSA candidate or not. Do you know what, 0.001% of people wont even remember in a months time. To face the facts of it, transpires if you're a little upset or cross, it doesn't matter to say these things. This is what a UK Law Judge has decided. I'm so proud!

There was no judge but a layman a chief magistrate. No judge would have fallen for the pathetic excuse offered, and a jury wold have convicted JT.Either way his conduct is despicable. It reminds me of the time when Lee Bowyer was found with faeces on his trousers as he declined to wear underwear while beating uo a black victim (Leeds). AF did not bring the charge,JC.It seems you have not grasped a few salient details apertaining to this case.
