eckithump
BEWARE!!!!!!! First are striving to make more money by not having a float first thing in the morning!!!! My fare came to £2.50 I gave him £3. He couldn't give me the change and said that if he didn't have the change by the end of my journey, then I would have to claim it back off the company!!!!!!!!! This process takes 48 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many people are going to claim back 5p 10p 20p??????????????????? Dispicable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HeadingNorth
This is not new. First have not given their drivers floats for as long as I can remember; not just in Sheffield.
eckithump
That may be true, I don't use the busses very often but I've never been told that I would have to "claim back" my money from the company!!!!!!!! It's crazy to expect the public to have to mess about like that!!!! Don't you agree???????????????????
HeadingNorth
I'm used to bus services that simply do not give change, where it's the passenger's responsibility to have the right fare and if he wants to pay extra that's his own concern. Given that background, I've never paid much thought to it.
eckithump
I was caught un aware of this, I was going to give him a tenner but luckily i found £3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's missleading as far as I'm concerned. They should tell people that they will have to "claim" & wait 48 hrs for their change!!!!!!
ooisit
Is it really that hard to make sure you have change in the morning for your bus fare? As for giving the bus driver a ten pound note and wiping any float out he may have that's ridiculous.
regatta
It can work the other way, a mate of mine was a bus driver at greenland road depot, and he was telling me a bloke used to get on his bus on his first trip at 5.30 am at darnall going to the bottom of staniforth rd, and offering his conductor a tenner, knowing the conductor had'nt got change even with his float, they let him ride for free for four days, then on the fri morning the bloke got on with his tenner and the conductor was ready for him, armed with a bag of pennies, tanners and threpny bits, and gave him the lot, how long had this bloke been doing this with other crews. Thay should have waited until his fares had added up to a tenner and taken the lot at once..
