Store Checkout megathread

Recommended Posts

I like it that you can go into a shop and chat to the people at the checkout.

If having personal contact with people is something you can't handle or if your idea of human interaction is playing the Sims, shop online or put on some latex gloves and use stores with self-service checkouts - you have the choice these days - but please don't moan about us human beings for being human.

Mine has to be the co-op in manor park. The girls have 3 speeds, slow, dead, and stop no matter how big the queue is.:help:

I've often wondered why Morrisons at Hillsborough cook Chickens in the store, its so you don't starve to death whilst waiting at the checkout.....they have a similar philosophy however it can be reduced to just two dire and stop!

Which probably explains why I don't shop there....

They are paid to check out your goods, not totally ignore everyone in the queue just because aunt sandra decided to pop in for her fags.

On the flip side of this is aldi/lidl,where you almost feel abused by the way your food gets thrown through, and the total given to you whilst she/he is still in the process of throwing.

Haha that is so true about Aldi, I can't shop there anymore due to the extreme rudeness and lack of customer care. It is NOT ok to throw the goods at customers as fast as they can (they may as well just throw them in the trolley for you) and bark 'card or cash' before they have finished scanning the items. God forbid if you haven't got the card or cash out in time for when they have finished scanning, even though you are still trying to chuck all the goods into the trolley that they have chucked at you. I once got told off for carrying my few items in my arms and not getting a trolley, as if its got anything to do with them anyway! I was told it was their policy that everyone had to get a trolley even for a loaf of bread. Oh the joys :hihi:
