TomA
to be honest, having been a checkout staff member. it has to be one of the most boring jobs ever. its teh same process over and over again for about 4 hours straight. scan, scan, scan, scan, scan, take payment. people might comment on the above but it was only an example of a transaction with 5 items. the customers mainly just seem fed up because of fighting through the crowd to get what they want and most of them just want to leave. you do get the odd one that will be friendly and have a little chat. but those are rare. tazman
In the main, I have found the staff there okay, but there are two things that really miff me about the Morrisons supermarkets, wether it be at Halfway or Catcliffe. Firstly, Occasionally when they sling your items down the shute after they have been scanned. I would love to swap places with them and chuck thier shopping about. Secondly, We had to call at Catcliffe Morrisons this Saturday just gone and we were in there up to about lunchtime. Who is responsible for the groups that seem to frequent that particular branch sometimes as many as 6 at a time who would appear to be filling out some kind of questionnaire / quiz sheet. ?? The shop is busy enough without filling it with people who arent even doing any shopping and are just getting in the way of those of us that are
saxon51
Check out staff have done a decent job for me as long as they scan my stuff and present the correct bill at the end. I don't want to be entertained, and I'd prefer them not to 'pretend' to be happy. They are probably completely pee'd off with dealing with several hundred miserable customers by the time I need their services. I understand this, so acknowledge it.
