kellyanne
I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to this dog, she lived with me for about 6months whilst her owner found her a safer home, although this was not the case as somehow shes ended up at the kennels...she was on http://www.ineedahome.co.uk but now i cannot find her...they renamed her to "Suki" although her name was Sophie, shes brindle with a white neck line & white tip on tail, approx 4-5 years old and her teets are hammered from a very very bad previous owner she had before the person i knew got her. I want to make it clear this IS NOT MY DOG. She lived with me for about 6months so she wouldnt be homeless until her owner found her a better location but shes ended up in kennels. Fantastic dog if i was allowed dogs in my property i would have taken her full time, never walks on a lead, brilliant with cats, kids & other dogs once she knows them, also excellent guard dog.... I just want to ensure shes ok i miss having her around & i cant see her now, if shes in a rescue would i be able to walk her do you know?? JinxSta
Suki also known as Sophie has moved onto RADAR rescue - see her on BADAW (barnsley and district animal welfare) website. She was saved from being put to sleep. A very lucky girl.

angel22
As JinxSta says, Suki is with my friends that run RADAR dog rescue in Wath. Try this link: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3853749036241&set=o.214699718642120&type=1&theater If you can't access that page, try this one: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=474607975883411&set=a.472734246070784.110143.215456181798593&type=3&theater I'm sure they'd be happy for you to go and walk her. I think she's in a foster home at the minute while she has her vaccinations and then she'll be joining their kennels in a week or so. Lee is one of the guys that runs RADAR, if you want to give him a call, his number is 07971914795. It would be nice if you got in touch with them. Maybe you could give them some background info on her, this would help when the time comes to rehome her.
angel22
Suki was actually very lucky. There were a few dogs in the pound due to be put to sleep the next day. RADAR went in, saved a few and when they had only one space left, they had to pick between Suki and another dog. They could only save one and they picked Suki. I know it was a heartbreaking descision for them to have to make. RIP to the other little dog that wasn't so lucky
nicholls5
What a totally different thread this would have been had they picked the other poor dog. So sad that this better location turned out to be the wrong one - If it had been left to them poor Sophie would now be dead, as it turned out, because she was there the other poor soul lost his life. Just another Brindle staffi awaiting their fate. Thank gosh for Radar and the small rescues that are clinging on to survive so that they can help 1 more dog have a life. Where would these dogs be without them?. Heartbreaking to see them all in the pounds - The same faces, week after week with more added until one week they are gone- So sad - Nix. kellyanne
Its beyond sad, Sophie "Suki" is fantastic dog, i will give RADAR a call over the weekend and give him some background info, When her owner took her back i was devastated, she followed me everywhere didnt need to be shouted at all, if i cried she would sit with her paws on me and just watch, if i slept she slept, if i ran she ran, fantastic dog! my kitten was just 6weeks when i got her a sophie used to pick her up and put her in her bed, weirdest most amazing thing you have ever seen. Her been in this situation wasnt my decision, she lived with me on a temperory measure as her owner was homeless, i did my upmost best for this dog whilst i could, i gave her a home, love, food and an enjoyable time. I hope she finds a perfect home someone who will love her as much as i did, im worried that the hammer her body has had from puppies will put people off (she did not have puppies from her owner, he got her from some vile people who kept her on a chain in the garden most of her younger years) I will do my best to help however i can.
