SimmoniteM
Hi, I'm a 17 year old student, and I'm working towards a career in the film industry. I'm just wondering if anyone has anything I could help out with relating to this area, or knows anywhere I could get some experience. I'm willing to do anything (e.g. working as a runner) just to get something on my C.V. I don't mind paid or unpaid and will be free all summer holiday. compton
Hi. Do you have equipment to shoot a video promo for a 'Dance' track record release? We are a music collaboration group about to release a single on our own indie lable and will be soon looking for someone to shoot a video to support the release. We hope to use a performance video as part of our launch and promotional campaign. This is a project without a budget but may give you experienece with a real use whereby we can assist each other in our differing aims. Amongst our current plans on release of our track is to engage PR to promote to local regional TV. Thanks, Tony

BarryRiley
Don't know if you're still reading this but apply for work experience at BBC Manchester or one of the many other production companies up there. There isn't enough in Sheffield for most people in the industry to be able to sustain a career. Also, I don't want to sound negative but prepare for a lot of long hours, terrible pay and zero recognition for your work at least in the first few years. I's a tough business and is nothing like what they will tell you in college or university. Very few people stick with it and many of the ones who do don't like it. Very few people working in television or film are working on something which they would want to work on or even watch. Good luck
