Del_Boy
Tomorrow night is the family vindaloo night and I have a leaking toilet to fix! Due to stainage I am pretty sure it is the wastage water leaking at the base, it is a light amount that circles the base of the toilet I have checked the wastage pipe when flushed and ni leakage from there whatsoever, as the light bit of water appears everytime toilet is flushed I have also checked all other clean water fittings those and waste area all dry I am starting to think it must be a small hole or crack in the base of the toilet causing this as I do not want, the toilet was only fitted a few months back. It might have to be a silicone seal job but I suppose that woiuld just stop it at the base bnut would still collect underneath of the toilet if it is a crack Any ideas what else it could be? Thanks

Thanks Steam from bath will condense on cold surfaces and form small pools, especially in humid areas.Your WC cistern is always cold and will cause a build up-if not sure try licking it.If nasty leak if nice condensation:hihi:

Thanks There's a wax seal that comes with a new toilet. The wax seal has to be securely bonded between the toilet drainage outlet and the hole to the drain pipe on the floor. I generally place the toilet onto the wax seal, give it a slight turn to the right then the left to make sure the seal is firmly bonded between the two outlets. The retaining bolts on either side of the toilet should be firmly screwed into place but not over tight. Finally a good even silcone bond around the bottom of the toilet should make it completely leak proof
Rupert_Baehr
What you're describing is a typical US-style toilet, though Harleyman. - Most British toilets don't discharge through a vertical pipe into a pipe in the floor.
namtaB
A used disposable barbecue tray with the ashes still in makes for an excellent ad hoc lutrine lob it over the neighbours fence when done
