Hi, don,t believe all you hear about the manor, i lived there for 15 years and it,s not bad, my parents still live there and have never had any problems, you normally find the people that bad mouth the manor have never even been near the place, but like to lisen to gossip, easy way to find out for yourself is to take a drive around several times at different times of the day and make your decision based on what you see and not what others say.

Viking Lea is not council housing its run and owned by Places for People.. there has been a lot of investment and action to tackle asb and the like but like all places you will still have the idiot element... Danewood again is not council housing its either South Yorkshire Housing or Acis Housing Association look on their websites

Whoever thinks up the names of these estates has a real sense of humour-most residents are well-armed:hihi:

I used to live on Danewood Avenue, its not council, it South Yorkshire HA.

I lived in the end corner house with my back garden backing onto the main road where some right little ****s congregated constantly & my neighbour was an absolute idiot.

The "kids" were constantly chucking stuff at our windows, climbing in & out of the garden, trying the door! my car alarm went off 24/7, needless to say I soon moved.

My friend however lives a little further down on the same avenue and doesn't seem to have any major problems.

Its the luck of the draw on the manor I think. There is some really nice properties as well, my 3 bedroom house was 2 flats knocked together so the size & layout of the house was fantastic, ideal for a family.

As has already been suggested, have a drive round at different times of the day/night :) wish I had done that :hihi:
