Speed awareness courses

Recommended Posts

Speed Awareness Training has no impact on your car insurance.  It's not even asked about on your policy.

The whole point of the training is to avoid the issues relating to a personal conviction, including the impact on insurance.

Some insurers, mostly Admiral group do ask about speed awareness courses.

I found it interesting to be honest and no points on licence 34mph in a thirty zone bit harsh to be honest would have been the same if I was doing 50mph points do reflect on insurance premiums

50 in a 30 would have disqualified you from attending a course and would most likely have resulted in a court appearance and a Band C fine (150% of weekly wage).

There is one point some of you are missing, if you do the course you licence is clean, if you take the points you have three points on your licence and do it again, then you have six points on it where you would onley have three if you did the course.
