Gdadman
Found the best traffic calming solution last night on Tyler Street - OVER 250 Concerned residents and people who use this stretch of the road in a peaseful gathering as a mark of respect to Jan. We were amazed at the number of road users who even with all those people on the footpath came at speed towards the traffic lights, then wondered why they got glared at. Even one of those smiley/sad speed readers made a difference while it was at the top of the slope. But someone in their wisdom took it down. Maybe it used too much sunlight to power it. Thanks to all who attended. R.I.P Jan
Bethsmummy
Here here. Wincobank residents did Jan proud lastnight. Let's hope its makes some change. I was very surprised that with 250 people lining the pavements cars still came through the dip exceeding the limit.
mj.scuba
I'm in favour if it doesn't mean "pinch points" or speed bumps. I agree with this, but it's all they seem to be able to come up with. It's the people travelling above the speed limit that need bringing down to it, but bumps and pinch points (I assume you mean the ones where you have to give way to oncoming traffic in one direction) just slow everybody down to well below the limit, or even to a halt causing more congestion in the case of pinch points on a busy road which could make it more dangerous. Harrods3940
It really is getting ridiculous there now. I must have just missed the accident today my minutes as I was walking on there at just after 7. The council needs to act before another fatality.
