purplepeke
Kady, don't use a household bulb, very dangerous!!!! But for about a fiver, get a basking bulb, i use The snake shop, at attercliffe, he will point you in the right direction, they come with bayonet and screw types too. Oh and don't forget a bulb guard! xxx Oh and a thermostat! xxx
carpetviper
You can use normal bulbs there is absolutely no difference apart from they charge you extra for the reptile on the box. If you decide to go down the ceramic route you definately need either a pulse or dimmer stat and you will need a ceramic collet due to the extra heat they generate. I have had dragons for years and never had a problem with the way I keep them and mine are fit and healthy.
