Private respite

You may need to be registered by the Care Quality Commission, in which case your property will need to meet the required standards for room size, en-suite facilities etc etc. Check this out before doing anything as they will have the power to close your service down which would cost you a lot of money in the long run!

The council often is the best place to go first of all however the provision for emergancy respite is not the best...for example should the need arise at 7pm and be needed straight away it may be very hard for you to sort out. There are services however that provide this service on a non council contract basis, I have come across services that will pick up and drop off providing the people involved are willing to fill out initial assement and assist with emergancy care plan. The best price I have come across for this is £275.00 for night one dropping to £175 per night unless the need is one to one support. If I can help just message me and I will do my best to advise in regards to services I have dealt with that are good providers.
