Village Owl   10 #1 Posted July 2, 2012 NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME  Description  This is a 7.5 mile walk taking us roughly 3.5 hours not including stoppages. its a reasonably easy going walk with quite a few interesting features along the route. The walk starts in Darley Dale, and takes us through Snitterton, Jughole Wood, Bonsall, Upper Town, Wensley and back to Darley Dale.  Details  Start time: 10:30am  Meeting point: Picnic Parking Site (space for 15 cars) on The main road (B5057) Darley Dale.  Its before the Square And Compass Inn, which is on the same road and who's postcode is DE4 2EQ  Map Reference: Outdoor leisure 24 SK269623  Parking: Picnic Parking Site as above  Refreshments and Toilets: Square and Compass Inn just up the road from the cars and The kings Head pub half way round the walk.  Public transport: Sorry but no buses run to Darley Dale from Sheffield that early in a morning.
