flamingjimmy   10 #25 Posted July 2, 2012 Has israel done anything to you personally? you seem to be very anti Israel whats the reason ?  Y'know some of us have this special feeling, I believe it's called empathy. With this marvelous tool we can actually be concerned about the plight and suffering of other people.  Perhaps you only care about things that affect you personally but many of us humans are less selfish than that. callippo   10 #27 Posted July 2, 2012 First of all what does one mean by Israel?    The Israeli power elite, do not rule, but manage the affairs of other countries.     sound familiar? You'll find all this garbage about a tiny number of controlling manipulative Jewish people walking around with Stars of David embossed on their underpants whilst controlling the foreign policy of any number of countries you care to name all over the internet, but also in such places as Mein Kampf and the Chronicles of the Elders of Zion. The antisemitism is not as bad as that displayed by southcoast in this thread, but it's still there.
 Share this content via...
Ian Dome   10 #28 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) another example of Israel being held to a higher standard than its enemies - and so it should, because it is a far more civilised, modern society - however, when its enemies heed UN resolutions and Geneva conventions, then there is a level playing field. Until then, i've not a single care. The UN was once of use, now its just yet another once decent thing ruined by the Islamists . mj.scuba   10 #29 Posted July 2, 2012 What does it take for Israel to abide by the UN resolutions?  Probably: 1) Cessation of all violence towards Israel or its settlements (no more rockets or attacks) for a sustained period 2) Hamas, Fatah et al to publicly recognise Israel's right to exist 3) Palestinians to stop educating their children to take up arms against Israel and stop promoting intolerance towards Jews in their school textbooks 4) A willingness by both sides to bring about a peaceful co-existance and guarantee each others security  All of the above culminating in something akin to the Entente Cordial between Britain and France which ended centuries of warfare between the two neighbouring states. erebus   10 #30 Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) Money is power and Israel has a lot of that, backed by our and their friends the bankers. With a similar mantra, of sod off anyone who wants to say anything negative to those that know more than you.  Don't ya just love em?  Why should they, banks or Israel take note of any silly rules or opinions? They rule the rest of us, they have the money, and don't forget it!  Killing people is Gaza is fun, snakes in a barrel, watch them fly into bits. Beating up children of sub humans is part of the fun, as they should never have been born or survived the restriction of food and essential nutrients during development. How can these people still breed in Gaza, as nuclear bombs should have reduced the birrth rate and deformed all that survived birth.  Why does Israel ignore all UN resolutions? Because they can, and no one can make them adhere to them. Enjoy the movie, because they can do what they likehttp://www.btselem.org/ Edited July 3, 2012 by erebus additionsl stuff
 Share this content via...

The antisemitism is not as bad as that displayed by southcoast in this thread, but it's still there.  The embossed underpants and the allusions to Mein Kampf and the "Protocols" are an attempt at distraction.  AIPAC along with other Zionist lobby groups and think tanks plant their people as Staffers into Congress and The White House.  You know that and hope that your opponents don't.  You could have cited Mearsheimer and Walt (The Israel Lobby)  The Israel Lobby (London Review of Books)  David Ben-Gurion If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country … We come from Israel, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?
