balb0wa   10 #13 Posted July 2, 2012 I went on Saturday, got there about 8. 30am , was raining hard, loads of clouds, thinking, oh no what a bad day for an airshow.  Sat in the car for 30 mins, brightened up, hint of blue and sun in the sky, then ventured out, then a lot of sun and blue sky with clouds.  i find i get better pics with clouds and blue sky, rather than pure blue sky.  we were in the spitfire grandstand , first time in there, usually go on the crowd line, went to the entrance, we got a programme each and escorted to our seats by a nice raf woman , loads of tables in front, own toilets that were quite posh, and a nice relaxed atmosphere , would definitely go in there again.  Im also sunburnt , burnt arms and face, oh dear :-(  A few pics, Canon 1Dmk3 and 70-300 L , took 5,407 pics, and battery still has 51% charge left, what a beast.
 Share this content via...

denlin   12 #24 Posted July 3, 2012 You 've been going for 10 years and stiil not realised that it is possible to goThurs,Friday and Monday.Yes it is not a full show but A/C arrive and land before the show or perhaps you never realised that! The RoK black eagles display team did a full show.Team Orlik display, etc, etc. Red arrows due to display 1600, So I do actually know what I am talking about, how about you? http://www.waddingtonairshow.co.uk/pave  I am well aware that you can see the aircraft flying on other days but it's the people who buy tickets for the show that allow others to watch the flying for nothing but they miss out on the atmosphere and all the sideshows so please don't patronise me oh. sorry I patronise you because I bought a ticket so you could have free show and BTW I was actually commenting on the weather at the shows not the displays
 Share this content via...
