SarahD Â Â 10 #37 Posted August 22, 2012 Hi Gary, You can get it through Createspace which is the cheap option. Â Yeah you could go print on demand (either Createspace or Feed a Read) who will assign you a ISBN and get your book into stores. You don't have to buy in bulk then, but they do take a small cut. SarahD   10 #38 Posted August 22, 2012 Well, my book is out! The sales have been small but steady, which is encouraging. It's hard to get fiction readers to take a punt on a self published author with one book to their name. Ron Blanco   10 #39 Posted August 22, 2012 Well done, Sarah. The 'Blemished' website looks so professional. I really like the trailer, too, with its eery music. I hope it's a great success.
 Share this content via...
garypeacock   10 #40 Posted August 22, 2012 I was interviewed today about my book death of the regular on radio derby. There's more than one faux pas, but I do manage to get a couple of points across on pub closures and a mention or two of Rotherham and Sheffield.  http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/p00wjw5p  move the timer bar to 2.11  thanks Gary  http://www.deathoftheregular.com
 Share this content via...
Ron Blanco   10 #41 Posted August 22, 2012 (edited) I was interviewed today about my book death of the regular on radio derby. There's more than one faux pas... I didn't notice any faux pas. A really good interview, I thought. I like the scattering of nostalgic photos on the website, and the extracts are funny. garypeacock   10 #44 Posted August 23, 2012 My Grandma used to say, 'never skimp on your bed or shoes, as you spend most of your life in them'  I bet the ones who are moaning all have big flat screen teles..........  http://www.deathoftheregular.com
 Share this content via...
Mummytwo   10 #45 Posted August 25, 2012 Totally forgot to check this thread. Thank you for the replies to my question, they were indeed very helpful. My book is a horror/thriller, not sure how well it will do compared to all the erotica that's starting to come out
 Share this content via...
SarahD Â Â 10 #46 Posted August 30, 2012 I found a cheap place to pay for advertising. Best Indie Books is a site where you can put up an excerpt, your book cover, link to the book and info about yourself and they promote it on different social media links. You can keep the book up for a full week and pay just $3. It's the cheapest promo stuff I've found so far. Â I'll let you know if it boosts sales or not.
