Pay 50% up front for a building job?

Recommended Posts

Personally i would say pay something less at start, maybe 20-30%?

I have had an extension built on my house and lots of other building work done over the years and have NEVER paid a penny up front. Why is anybody even contemplating paying up front for a job. you don't need to and then if there is a problem you aren't out of pocket!

that why most joiners/carpenter become foremans . a thinking man trade we there from the start to finish. i do like your sense of humour at times

When was the last time a joiner was given a field to start building on.

They only start work after the Bricklayers have moved on to the blank canvas ,done some proper hard graft and then handed the shell over to the the fitters;) who follow.
