altus 538 #13 Posted June 13, 2012 If he doesn't want to watch the England match then he's not much of a man and quite probably secretly gay. If I were you I'd cancel the date and go and watch the game with your mates instead. Yeah - because gay men wouldn't be interested in men with muscley thighs running round in shorts. kirkyb 10 #14 Posted June 13, 2012 The wick at both ends has good cocktails is a bit different and won't be rammed. Dada is also different from a lot of bars and isn't too rammed for you can actually get a seat and have a conversation. Platillos (maybe 1 L) does really good cocktails. TJC1 10 #15 Posted June 13, 2012 We aren't showing any of the Euro's at the Wick at Both Ends (or The Harley) and we have had a fresh lick of paint so are looking rather smart these days - perfect for a first date. We serve a wide range of cocktails, spirits, beers etc. x:love:x The wick serve really bad food and the owner is arrogant. Don't go there. rickiethecat 10 #19 Posted June 14, 2012 all joking aside if the OP wants a decent pub with no football, she might like to take her date to one of the real ale places round kelham island such as the shakespeare, harlequin or fat cat. They'll be busy obviously with it being a friday, but there probably won't be any football showing. Of course if rowdy pubs are that much of an issue it might be best to rearrange the date for a quieter night of the week.
 Share this content via...
Grandad.Malky 11 #20 Posted June 14, 2012 Real men dont still play computer games either! Computer games are for kids ………. I cant believe that someone would own up to “preferring” video games to anything in the real world.
 Share this content via...
